Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle

Damn you, Samantha!  Why can't I twinkle my nose and my house will magically look spic and span?  Darn all those commercials where it makes house cleaning look soooo simple with a flick of the wrist or a push of the button....like magic, your house will clean itself.  A pastor friend recently offered to lend me her Roomba, the move by itself vacuum cleaner.  I'm afraid I need more help than that!  Plus I have 4 animals that will either be scared out of their wits OR will tear that Roomba apart!  Either scenario isn't worth it.  I'll either be paying for a new Roomba or I'll be paying for the intrusion later in the night that includes loud yeowling and leaving little presents all over the house.  Nope, good ole hard work is in store for me.

I love the ecard I saw on FB yesterday.....

I can't go that far since our party is coming up TOMORROW!!!  Can you believe I first mentioned the party on Monday and now here it is Thursday??  The weeks are just flying by.

I'm a bit stressed for time!  Yesterday was a fairly successful day. I went shopping and bought all the ingredients sans some fresh stuff.  I cooked up all the ground beef for the lasagna.  I did a little straightening up.  Remember my last party?  I couldn't walk or stand up straight after cleaning and cooking all on the same day.  I am NOT going to let THAT happen again.  Thankfully I had not started any deep cleaning.  Last the night while I was enjoying a little "down time," a dog scootched his butt along the floor; the other one threw up-- 3 times!!!  Um, hello!  STOP THAT!!!!!!

A couple of days ago on the Dr. Oz Show (watching too much TV could be the culprit of my dirty house!), he talked about belly fat.  We've all heard that stress increases belly fat.  His solution: curb the stress!  Now why didn't I think of that, she asks sarcastically?  That part we know.  Give us a solution.   And he did.  He recommends a vitamin supplement called "Relora."  The bottle says "May support mood and promote relaxation;"  well, who doesn't want that?  I read the ingredients and it lists magnolia officinalis (bark) and Phellodendron amurense (bark)....so basically "bark"-- can we say Euell Gibbons?  Tastes like hickory nuts!

The second thing Dr. Oz recommends is an afternoon snack consisting of "colorful" fruits and/or veggies.  He specifically mentions yellow bell peppers.  College Girl snacks on colorful bell peppers and hummus.  Let me tell you: she has LOST weight at college.  Maybe the peppers had something to do with it!  Just saying.

Third thing: drink tart cherry juice in the evening.  I guess it is better than warm milk for sleeping through the night.

As you can imagine for this strawberry, a stress would be getting ready for a party.  I am in control.  I will not let partying add to my belly fat!!!  So STOP THAT!

I will transport myself to a happy place because I refuse to stop the partying.  Good friends, good food...what could be happier?  Except maybe some sleeping animals....

Happy Thursday!  Friday is a-comin'!!!
