Reason #7953 of why I hate housecleaning!

I came out to the kitchen and what did I see?  A rat? A mouse? A cockroach?  No, no... Mr. Bunny Rabbit by the kitchen island.  Just where a bunny belongs, right?

And was Mr. Bunny Rabbit alone?  Oh no, Mr. Bunny Rabbit needs company....say a moose with a squeaker in his belly.  Mr. Moose wanted some morning coffee too.

I....need.....cof....fee....

Yeah, I'd say I need coffee too if I were spread eagle on the kitchen floor.  And that ain't because it is a freshly waxed floor!

I have 2 little ones in the strawberry patch, Grainiacs.  Yep, I'm preparing for empty nest but I have two rambunctious ones still planning to stay (well, at least one of them is planning to stay but I don't think it will cut down on the toys laying about the house!).  I am trying desperately to teach these toddlers to put their toys away.  I have placed a basket right by the door so they can keep their things together!  Do they cooperate?  Hell no...

Every morning I travel around the house picking up toys and putting them back in the basket.  They think at least 3 toys need to be out.

Yes, Cosmos....the basket.....toys go in the basket....

Here?  You mean here?  No, I don't think so.

My morning schedule starts with a cup of coffee.  Then I feed the dogs.  Wait!  Where is the dog dish?   Don't you keep yours in the living room too?  Please say yes.  Don't leave me hanging here.

I bring the dog dish back into the kitchen and Cosmos says he and the bunny are ready to eat.  Look the moose has even come for breakfast. These toys can move faster than me!

And if that's not enough to keep me hopping before my morning coffee, Kitzilla has knocked down my favorite reusable grocery bag.  Career Girl gave it to me.  I love it.  It is made out of recyclable plastic and the saying on the bag says "I used to be a plastic bottle."  Although someone must not have rinsed out their plastic well enough because Kitzilla is loving and chewing on that bag!!!  She loves it too!

My, my you smell delicious!

Even your straps are delightful, my pet! num num num

I mean she LOVES this plastic bag!!!  I had to take it away from her.  I still use that bag for groceries.  But if you've ever wondered how to keep your cat entertained for hours?  Buy a recyclable plastic bag.  All the smells from its previous life will keep your cat busy sniffing and rubbing and rolling all over it!  Hey maybe I'll start marketing them as a cat toy.

Have a happy and rolly weekend, Grainiacs.  May you find joy in your plastic bag (whatever that might be!) and may your toys stay in your basket!
